THE BIG IDEA
On Sunday 16th July hundreds of houses across Whitstable will be holding concurrent garage sales as part of the fifth Whitstable Garage Sale Safari. Some sales will be going all day but they are all open between 10am and 2pm.

The Safari is a charity event and everyone running a sale makes a small donation to appear on our map and app. This year we are raising money for the FAR Skate Academy who provide alternative education for young people aged 16-18 struggling with traditional education.
​
On the day hundreds of people run around town, having fun, meeting their neighbours and grabbing a bargain.

YOU RUN THE ADVERTISING
​
In contrast to previous years where we have offered advertising boards outside people's house - you have to run the advertising yourself. We will do our best to send people your way but you need to print out posters and get the message out there.
YOU PAY WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD
This years charity is FAR Skate Academy, which is raising money to improve the playpark in the centre of our town.
We suggest people donate £10 or what they can.

To prevent cross contamination we will only be providing an online map this year. You'll be able to download a dedicated app.

Stalls will largely be outside so mask up, keep a social distance and have fun.

The 2023 Safari is entirely online. We won't be printing out maps but we will be providing an app which can help you spot plan your session.

Stalls can be registered online by following the simple three steps below. Please note that once you complete the online registration form your details will be put into the app. We won't contact you again unless we can't find your house when we do a map search.

When you register you will receive an email with tips about how to advertise your stall. We will put you on the map and help promote the event but to guarantee success you have to get the message out. Tell your friends, put up posters and signs. Really drive the punters your way.

We ask for a suggested £10 donation for each stall you register but we know that this year has been hard and as such we hope you donate what you can.
